FAMILY/PERSONAL HISTORY: The Byron family has owned the Falmouth Falcons since Orion Jason Byron I, though none of the Byron men have ever managed the team. Until Orion III came along it was always a position that went to a trusted, well paid, third party. Orion I died six months before Orion III was born. Orion II, who went by his middle name Jason, named his son in the family tradition and ran several businesses (aside from the Falcons ownership) to support his comfortable family.

Orion went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. He was the pinnacle of ambition. He stayed away from the Quidditch pitch, not interested in playing himself. He graduated before the war began and was managing one of his father's enterprises, a small magazine, Quill, when Voldemort took over the Ministry.

After the war Jason (Orion II) and Harmonia had another son, Paris, who is now four years old. Orion used the time after the war to make Quill a more intellectual magazine. He published Brynja Dunstan's series of articles on her efforts in the war, interviewed Shacklebolt and Potter, and when they did articles on Quidditch they were on the biographical and business side of the sport rather than the celebrity and action. The magazine became one of the top publications.

In 2001 Orion asked his father for permission to leave the magazine in good hands and manage the Falcons. The franchise was suffering in the rankings and he knew he could do good things with it. He made a number of key trades, hired and fired some coaches, and put the team into the top of the league in the same year.

Orion has made it his goal to make the Falcons win a cup by 2005. The 2003 season didn't pan out for him, but he has two more years to do it.

PERSONALITY: Orion is an ambitious guy. He sets high goals for himself and dedicates most of his life to them. He is a workaholic, which works out well for his family prophets.

In his social life he's not quite so attractive. He has refine tastes, dresses in only the best (he doesn't own blue jeans), and likes to party. His tastes in women are impeccable, but how he treats them is another story. Orion sees women as simple pleasures. He'll say whatever he needs to in pursuit of a woman he wants. His perseverance and ruthlessness that does so well in business is not a good trait to apply to relationships. He does intend to settle down with a trophy wife, but before he hits thirty he wants to experience as many beautiful women as he can.
